loosing your leaves
Autumn has been especially beautiful here along Lake Michigan; so much so it will be a relief when the gray days of winter finally arrive. Driving down Sheridan Road, one block in from the lake, I saw two trees, one loosing its golden leaves from the bottom down and one split from top to bottom, barren branches on one side, rich red leaves still clinging to the branches on the other side – all of it mysterious and wonderful to a tree ignoramus like me.
