sometimes...

...Mother Nature says it best. A late winter snow, and early spring sky, strange and beautiful light reflected in a thousand icy lines; I had dogs, not a camera, with me early this morning when I was dazzled out of my sleepiness by the ravine across the street all lit up with an icy hot glow against a blue blue sky (a rarity here in the Midwest, where we are more likely to have what novelist Charles Baxter has called a "noncommittal sky") --- the problem I've always had with photography is that pain of the lost moment of light --- this shot of the treetops behind my house, taken later, AFTER the dogs were walked and fed, will have to suffice.
