Conceptual Artist Brian Conley

The nexus of human writing systems and the found markings of beetles on sticks -- sure, writing is everywhere in nature, but I just pick up worm-written sticks (see photo) and then make marks on stuff myself. This brief video of conceptual artist Brian Conley's piece "The Decipherment of Linear X" made my brain explode, but in a good way, like a dog's brain explodes when you scratch its soft underbelly AND feed it a meat cupcake.
