National Novel Writing Month

I have been writing something that vaguely resembles a novel (all that is required is 50,000 words to qualify under the terms of the National Novel Writing Month project). It is such an absorbing task I am neglecting friends, laundry, errands, music and art. But yesterday I was really weak; I spent precious writing time designing a cover for my "novel". I have to complete the 50,000 words in order not to lose face in front of my writer children. When it's done, I anticipate having greatly improved typing skills...
