


I didn't make it to the opening for the Peace Tower at the Cultural Center Tuesday evening, but my friend
Cynthia did, and sent photos. We both have paintings hanging on the tower.

The sculptor
Mark di Suvero, who has an exhibit of his work currently in Millenium Park in Chicago is the instigator of the
Peace Tower. He's in the photo below, in the blue shirt, next to the young man who is pointing out the graphic flag painting I did and saying, "Oh damn, that Peggy Shearn and her flag piece -- that is just so f--king brilliant!"
I mean, I THINK that's what he's saying.
